Today's business world demands a broad range of leadership and management skills and knowledge. This comprehensive Leadership Certificate program presents a unique approach to leadership, providing you with a new perspective on leadership and helping you become an effective leader.

Examine trends in leadership, power and leadership, communication skills, emotional intelligence and group process, as well as the leader's role in building culture, managing change, team building and decision making.

Program Notes
We recommend that you complete Understanding Leadership and Preparation for Effective Leadership prior to any other courses in the certificate.

Earning Your Extension Certificate
Complete the five required courses (75 hours). You have three years to complete the program. The program may be completed within one semester or extended over three years.

Understanding Leadership
Learn to become an outstanding leader as you explore the concept of leadership and identify leadership functions and roles. Participate in hands-on activities that help you understand what effective leadership entails. Discover the difference between leadership and management and be able to apply theoretical concepts to your job the very next day.

In order to lead effectively, you must first understand your own strengths and weaknesses. Assess your readiness for taking on a leadership role, and gain knowledge and skills to become an integrated and consistent leader. The Leader as Culture Builder & Change Agent
